Volunteer
Oceanside Museum of Art’s volunteers are a vital part of the team; they help to keep the Museum running smoothly throughout the year. Through the generous gift of their time OMA volunteers fulfill an amazing array of jobs including: admissions desk support, store clerk, special events assistants, exhibition assistants, membership personnel, administrative assistants and museum docents. After a brief introduction/training session, volunteers are asked to attend quarterly training classes and work a minimum of 6 hours a month. Volunteering at OMA is a great way to meet people and be a part of the local Oceanside arts community.

We depend on our Administrative Volunteers to help us with an array of computer related projects from spread sheets to grant writing. As an Administrative Volunteer you get a special behind the scenes look at what it takes to successfully run a museum.
Installation and Exhibits
If you have experience in construction or art installation this category is for you. Installation and Exhibits Volunteers help OMA facilities and exhibitions staff to installation and de-install exhibition, print and crop object labels, paint walls and more. Experience is preferred but not required. If you are passionate we will train you!
Public Relations
Public Relations Volunteers help with all OMA marketing and social media.
Special Projects
Sometimes we just have nutty ideas and need help making them happen, as a Special Projects Volunteer you will help OMA make our dreams come true.
